The Legend of Wahkan

Alyssa Bennett is tormented with chronic, hellish nightmares and a past that will forever change her small hometown...
This story is very dear to my heart. I wrote the original when I was only 14 years old. It took exactly 2 years to complete. Click next on the slideshow! - - - >

Below is the link to my PDF, A Slant of Light. When I was discharged from rehab on December 16th, 2020, I had to decide how I was going to open up to everyone about my true whereabouts. I spent 12 weeks in rehab in northern Alabama, and I was away from all social media which wasn't like me.

After much thought, I decided that it was best to share my story on Facebook with all my friends, family, coworkers, etc. Some people I didn't keep in contact with regularly, but I didn't mind. I had nothing to hide, nothing to fear, and nothing to be ashamed of. This newfound courage and strength I had attained while away definitely shown this day, December 17th, 2020.
